OVERVIEW:
Are you our next Graphic Designer? You design, create, and develop Gymshark product under the guidance and mentorship of the Senior Designer and Head of Design.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Designing and executing seasonal graphics for Gymshark.
- The creation of graphics as well as maintaining information of the evolution of those graphics through the season.
- Partnering with Senior Designers and wider Design team to ensure that the Creative Direction is captured at a style level.
- Research into athlete and consumer needs and tastes alongside seasonal trends.
- Mentoring Junior Designers on the graphics team.
- Identify areas of improvement to the current process and suggest new and better ways of working.
Accountable for:
- Accountable for delivering graphic projects on time according to the Product Creation Calendar and in line with the Creative Direction.
- Translating design concepts into physical product alongside your development partners.
- Push yourself to learn new skills and apply them where appropriate to improve yours and the teams output.
- Delegate projects/tasks to Junior Designers to help improve productivity and support overall team development.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
- Education in Design (BA, BFA, BS)
- Have an outstanding portfolio demonstrating a versatile handwriting with experience working on apparel graphics
- Ability to identify and execute key graphic trends for the season
- Experience working in design led environments and working with product design teams
- Experience in designing apparel graphics across multiple execution solutions and different product types
- Strong ability to communicate within a team and cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Able to present work to an audience of key stakeholders and senior management

WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:
- Experience in print and pattern making
- Experience in people management
- Experience in Excel and other Microsoft platforms
- Knowledge of 3D design software

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
