GLL, the leading provider of public leisure and cultural services in the UK, is actively seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic in-house design team situated on the doorstep of the English Lake District.
As a valued member of our creative family, you’ll collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders from marketing, library, and leisure centre teams across the UK. You’ll produce high quality graphic design assets for marketing campaigns, events, social media, websites and more. You’ll create content for B2B, B2C and B2E channels, designing compelling brochures, eye-catching flyers, captivating advertisements, alluring merchandise, and engaging online graphics. Your designs will seamlessly adhere to company and partner brand guidelines, positioning our social enterprise as a leading operator of community services and inclusive spaces for all.
By joining our accomplished art working team as a Graphic Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering an unparalleled experience for our business, imparting identity and prominence to both GLL and our consumer brand 'Better'. Your seasoned expertise will effortlessly transform briefs and information into captivating touchpoints, sparking conversations and fostering interest. Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign within a Windows environment, is second nature to you. You’ll be unfazed by tight deadlines and working on multiple projects with changing needs - in fact, you’ll thrive on pace and variety.

What you need:
- Graphic design based post graduate qualification
- Graphic design based software specific qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar graphic design / art working role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust capability using Adobe Creative suite (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), Microsoft Office suite and CMS systems.
- Basic animation/motion graphic development competency
- Data literate
- Strong layout, typography and typesetting skills.
- Multitasker able to work across multiple projects to tight timescales
- Possess a genuine passion to adapt and develop within the continuously evolving field of Graphic Design
