MAIN PURPOSE IN THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
As a Graduate Workday Operations Consultant at Kainos, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that a high-quality service is provided to the Project Management and Operations capabilities within the Workday business unit, demonstrating best practice throughout. You will play a key role in ensuring that our business runs smoothly, and our projects are managed efficiently. You'll work as part of the Workday Operations team which includes the PMO (Programme Management Office), Credit Control, Staffing and Financial Analytics Teams and you will have the opportunity to gain experience within one or more of these teams. It’s a fast-paced environment so it is important for you to ensure that workload is prioritised, and tasks completed in a timely manner.
Your key responsibilities will include (depending on the specific team which you are working with):
Setting up projects and carrying out the ongoing administration and maintenance within systems
Assisting with revenue and cost recognition
Assisting with managing project financials and reporting
Being responsible for Timesheet and Expense claim approvals
Assisting with month end invoicing
Managing and resolving of PMO support requests
Completing weekly timesheet (project specific)
Assisting with staff planning
Bench Management
KPI analysis
Taking ownership of customer accounts and building relationships to ensure timely payment of invoices
Taking on other ad-hoc duties
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS
Currently studying, or already completed, a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
Good computer skills including MS Office (particularly Excel) and the ability to pick up new software applications
Be amicable and approachable with a mature, collaborative style
Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes
Ability to deliver tasks within a given timeframe
Personal time management and planning skills, with ability to work with minimal supervision
Effective verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders
We all work in teams here in Kainos – a proven ability of strong team skills, including taking direction from others, is crucial
No experience required
DESIRABLE:
Previous administration experience in a relevant working environment with an approachable, personable, dynamic, collaborative style.
Experience with PSA software (e.g., Kimble or Workday)
Ability to use charts, pivots and formulas in Excel
