The nature of your degree is not of great significance in itself. We attach more importance to graduates who are bright and enthusiastic, with good communication skills and a desire to take early responsibility and work with a degree of independence.
Academic Requirements:
Essential
- Minimum 2:2 Degree Classification
- 3 x A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above
Desirable
- 2:1 Degree Classification
- 3 x A Levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above
The Role:
- To undertake the Trainee Broker Development Programme with the aim of becoming a Broker within a 2 year period achieving the industry recognised CII professional qualification
- Responsibility for allocated clients with supervision, including negotiating with insurers, placing cover and helping clients to manage their risk, as well as dealing with prospective clients with a view to securing new business
- Providing Risk Management advice to clients
- Creating, updating and managing computer and manual records, as appropriate
- Attending client meetings, accompanied by an experienced member of the team
- Providing support to the team leader and other team members, where required
- Reporting to the team leader on competition and related issues
- Performing any other duties which management may, from time to time, reasonably request
