From Lands End to John O’Groats, our Drivers will deliver great food and other catering products to a huge range of customers across the region, whether our customers want just a teaspoon or a full range of catering supplies, we’ll supply their needs. At Bidfood, we recognise that the quality of our Transport teams is instrumental to our success. We are currently looking for multiple Transport Coordinators to join our Transport Team in our Harlow depot. Reporting into the Transport Team Manager, you will be responsible for performing tasks associated to the operational and compliance requirements of the department whilst ensuring a safe working environment.
Our Transport Coordinators will communicate effectively with individuals at all levels including those within different departments, customers, contractors and suppliers. You will perform regular reviews and checks on all operational areas such as defect checks, credits, vehicle cleanliness and other required departmental checks as directed.
You will perform administrative duties consisting of data input and report generation using a variation of Bidfood IT systems. You will handle calls and emails to provide administration support to the department and perform all associated Health and Safety checks helping to support audit preparations.
You will be confident in helping Drivers ensure all relevant activities and paperwork in their roles are completed accurately. You will also assist the management team in recruitment and induction processes, maintaining high levels of training to ensure new team members are competent and confident in carrying out their duties in accordance with company standards and legal frameworks and this continues throughout their employment.
To be successful in this role you’ll be passionate about what we do, and have excellent communication skills.
With previous experience in a fast-moving food distribution environment, you will also have good computer literacy skills and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the business.
