Graduate to Senior Level Urban Designer/Masterplanner

The Role
They are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly organised team player with a sound knowledge of urban design and a genuine interest in the environment. Their ideal candidate will be proactive, positive and a confident communicator, and preferably with experience gained in a design practice working on urban design and masterplanning projects. You will have first class computer and graphic skills and excellent verbal and visual presentation abilities and preferably knowledge and experience of housing and mixed-use schemes. Experience of other environmental disciplines would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be able to visually communicate using a range of medium such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D design software and hand drawing. Working knowledge of GIS software would also be an advantage. The role will include the production of all typical masterplanning services, including: feasibility appraisals framework and illustrative masterplans, concept layouts, Vision Documents, Design Codes, Design and Access Statements, and preparation of public consultation materials and stakeholder events.
Their masterplanning approach is environmentally-led with a strong focus on innovative green infrastructure and habitat creation. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills by working closely with their existing team of experienced masterplanners and learning directly from the other core disciplines within the company. In addition to the right qualifications and experience you will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be personable, innovative and proactive. You will be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, and hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
