We now have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Prosthetist to join our team on our contract at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.
As well as an experienced team of Prosthetists, the centre has a fully equipped prosthetic workshop with skilled technicians that manufacture bespoke prosthetic devices. The team use Rodin CAD system for scanning and digital modelling. There is close MDT working with the NHS team with a Specialist Consultant in Amputee Rehabilitation, Physios, OTs, Specialist Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants as well as support staff.
The service treats all amputation levels in adults and children and covers the North Cumbria area as well as out of area referrals from NHS Scotland, South Cumbria, and the Northeast of England. The centre deals with pain management, wound healing and health screening to prevent further limb loss, with counselling available on site.
Working in this busy, dedicated amputee rehabilitation unit provides a great opportunity for a recently graduated Prosthetist to further develop their skills.
To be considered for the role:
- You must be qualified in Prosthetics/ Orthotics
- HCPC registered
- Membership of BAPO or ISPO is also desirable
