Job description
BTTC is looking for highly ambitious Project Manager graduates that want to work on some of the most high-profile infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.
Who we are
BTTC is a high-performance infrastructure project consultancy founded on the principle that our industry can deliver projects ‘better through total collaboration’. We combine an innovative, collaborative and pragmatic approach with high performing leadership, extensive experience and expertise to help our clients to transform the way infrastructure projects are delivered.
We are passionate about what we do and how we do it. We are looking for people to join our team who share our passion and align with our vision of ‘transforming the infrastructure industry’.
What you’ll experience
You will work alongside the best infrastructure consultants in the industry, on projects such as Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade, Virgin Media Lightning Programme, East Coast Power Supply Upgrade, East West Rail, Translink Transport Hub in Belfast, Crossrail, Darlington Capacity Project and London Capacity Project.
Over the course the graduate scheme, you will move from understanding the industry through shadowing and assisting your mentor to delivering your own key pieces of work, in a safe and controlled environment, meaning you will be delivering true value and gaining great experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn how the business operates, gain key skills such as business development and improvement. Once you have successfully completed our graduate programme, you will be promoted to the role of ‘Consultant’ responsible for delivering your own projects.
You will work in a team led by a Senior Consultant, and you will be responsible for providing front-line outputs to our clients. We operate within a truly collaborative culture, meaning you will be working with people of all seniority levels across the business and will therefore have direct access to our leadership team and industry experts. The result of having direct access to our board of directors is your accelerated growth and development opportunities within the industry.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of projects or significant components of larger projects.
- Assist in the coaching and development of more junior team members in the delivery of service excellence.
- Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
- Utilise technology to produce best-practice commercial outputs.
- Capture and share knowledge and be involved with the development of service improvement and innovation.
- Be a strong team player and take an active leadership role.
What you’ll need:
If you are interested in our project management graduate roles, you will need to be on track for a 2:1 in your current degree. Obtaining a relevant degree would be advantageous but is not essential. Furthermore, your application should be able to demonstrate your desire to join BTTC through your work experience and/or modules studied in further education.
The graduate consultant will need to be a strong team player and take an active leadership role together with excellent verbal and written communications skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with team members and clients.
What you can expect in return:
We are offering a competitive package, £28,000 per annum plus £3,000 car allowance. Along with the opportunity to work flexibly, a generous pension scheme, private medical cover, life assurance, 28 days annual leave plus banks and tech bundle.
What’s next?
If you are interested in applying for this graduate position, please don’t hesitate to apply with your covering letter and CV. Be clear about the skills and potential you have, and why this would be a good fit for us.
If successful, the next stage of your application would involve attending a recruitment day event shortly after the closing date above.
All successful candidates should be available to start in September 2023.
