The role
As a Graduate Engineer at Verisart, you will be an integral part of an ambitious, high-performing product team. You will help us deliver high quality products and services by providing support in testing new features.
This role offers a great opportunity to start your career in Engineering. Although you’ll begin with testing, as you grow and learn there will be the chance to start writing production code too. This is a fast-paced environment and we can teach you a lot, quickly.
The role has two main areas of responsibility:
Manual testing
- Perform manual testing for cases where appropriate when automated testing is not possible or feasible
- Communicating with the product team to understand what manual or automated tests are required
- Perform regular regression tests
Automated end-to-end testing
- Write and maintain our automated tests in Cypress (written in Javascript)
Requirements
- We're looking for a bright graduate engineer who is happy to start their career testing in a fast paced startup. We can teach you to code (or code better), but you need to bring the attitude.
- Excellent communication, listening and comprehension skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytically-minded with a data-driven approach to problem-solving
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking
- Self-starter, and a track record of getting things done
- Willingness to dive into new things and do your own reading to get up to speed quickly (we’ll help you get there of course!)
- Experience with Javascript
- Basic understanding of Web development
Nice to haves
- Experience with Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and Jira
- Familiarity with blockchain and NFTs and desire to learn more
- Experience with automation testing tools, ideally Cypress.io, Postman
- Other software development experience (backend or frontend)
