Job description
As a Graduate Process Engineer, you will join the team responsible for the silicon wafer fabrication processes, tools and techniques involved in the manufacture of our growing family of semiconductor products for our worldwide markets.
You will be employed in a specific Process group, training in a specific process area but also aware of other processes within your area. Your Process GL will assign a training plan aimed at developing your skills & knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing within your area.
Once you have become familiar with the silicon semiconductor process techniques and tools, you will be closely involved with developing, implementing, sustaining, and improving the semiconductor processes under guidance. You will also be supported in working on Identifying and implementing new process and metrology tools, working closely with our process and product development teams to ensure the continued growth and success of our product portfolio.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Support & maintain wafer fabrication processes within your area, guidance from GL where appropriate.
- Develop and execute auditable instructions and procedures that enable manufacturing performance to target, process control, measurement, repeatability and ensure health & safety procedural compliance.
- Under supervision, support the implementation of new process and manufacturing techniques, ensuring process performance aligns with both design for manufacturability and output expectations.
- Under Supervision, support the identification and implementation of new toolsets into manufacturing, verifying Process Stability, Quality & Yield.
- Develop sufficiently to support all manufacturing activities in your area of training, ensuring that all quality and customer requirements are met.
- Participate in cross functional teams on Continuous Improvement Projects to improve capability, process control, efficiency or reduce costs.
- Develop competencies around SPC control, OCAP’s and using the production MES system.
- Once trained, be involved in reviewing all COSHH assessments within Process Engineering.
- Complete all health & safety online courses, alongside Quality portal courses in a timely manner.
- Follow the standards and expected levels of behaviors within Process Engineering.

Salary: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
