This Graduate development Program is design for candidates who want to build an evolving and successful career. As the sector market leader, at the Blaney-Group (www.blaney-group.com) we design and manufacture an inventive range of machines focused around agriculture and land maintenance.
This is a unique opportunity for a graduate with some experience in industry to develop a career in engineering. Blaney is part of a long established engineering business ( see www.blaney-group.com), founded in 1993, we manufacture agricultural attachments for quads and tractors as well as off road Vehicles. We are a thriving innovative business with an enthusiastic workforce to help meet customer demands and continue to make the business a success.
The Role:
The successful candidate will:
- Be assessed in terms of capability and learning and adaptability.
- A specific tailored learning program will be devised and a mentor provisded to guide the candidate through the steps of each project
- The candidate will work closely with senior engineers on Design, Production processes and Machine Programming
- Support the engineering, production and sale teams
- Carry out testing and development of products or the customisation of current equipment to suit their specific needs .
- Hands on operation of machines to gain understanding of the manufacturing processes
- Clear career paths provide for bright and capable candidates
- The opportunity to develop managements skils alongside engineering
- Some travel may be required
Essential Requirements:
- Desire to learn a new skill
- Level 5, HND or degree or Masters in Design, Mechanical Engineering, Land Based technologies or equivalent
- Have some industrial experience &/or industrial product design
- Demonstrate a natural “hands on” engineering mind set for strong team problem solving
- Ability to think on their feet
- Good problem solving abilities
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- 3D CAD experience ideally in SolidWorks
Desirable
- Previously worked within an engineering, manufacturing, production or joinery environment
