Job Title: Graduate Project Management
Location : Glascoed (South East Wales)
BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 2 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.
Salary £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus
As experts on combat vehicles and munition products, we supply the Armed Forces with the most state of the art equipment available. We also offer in service support and life extension programmes, along with a range of engineering and supply services. We have exported over 10,000 vehicles to 23 countries around the world, and offer extensive support and upgrade services to our customers. We also provide munitions including small arms ammunition, medium calibre, mortars, artillery shells, tank ammunition and warheads.
What you will be doing
As a Graduate you will join our Project Management team who are responsible for conceiving and delivering a range of small but vital projects. Being responsible for the management and execution of the projects / work packages / tasks you will be measured by the successful completion of milestones to cost and quality targets by working with both Engineering and Operations to scope and then monitor the progress of projects /work packages / tasks and where required solve activities to allow swift resolution of issues, or escalation to the Portfolio Manager for further support.
The role will require interaction with both customers and senior members of the team, and as such you will be able to communicate across all levels and demonstrate an understanding on how their tasks link to the wider Heavy Munitions aims.
Through the business reporting structure, you will prepare using data from the business project control systems prepare regular reports to enable the Portfolio Manager to allow summary reports for the family of products to be created.

Specific activities could include:
- Monitor and report project/programme performance for schedule, technical, financial and quality processes.
- You will be responsible for problem-solving sessions to overcome project issues
- Establish & maintain customer/supplier relationships maintaining regular communications & managing expectations.
- Taking responsibility for achieving customer satisfaction.
- Manage risks and opportunities to the benefit of the work packages / tasks.
- Ensuring that work packages / tasks adhere to the Operational Framework and LCM Mandates
- Supporting the creation of proposals for follow on tasks / work packages
Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Studies / Project Management
