Permanent, part-time position. 20 hours per week.
Appointments are usually made at the bottom of scale. Working pattern to be agreed (afternoons will be required).
Join our team in the Student Opportunity Hub in the heart of campus and provide a welcoming help desk service and administrative support for the Hub, handling enquiries and requests for information from students, graduates, external enquirers and University staff, diagnosing client need, delivering an information advice service and referring appropriately to Student Opportunity resources and services.
Student Opportunity offers students a broad range of rich co-curricular development opportunities. Through an extensive offer of digital and in-person services, including events, workshops, one-to-one appointments, bursary support, volunteering and internships, we help students develop a global perspective, become culturally aware, and have confidence in achieving their personal vision of career success.
Experience of customer care and enquiry work and a professional and friendly approach to handling enquiries are essential for this role, together with accuracy and attention to detail and experience of administering processes and working in an office.
You will be a proactive team worker with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will also possess cultural sensitivity and understand the needs of different students. Good IT skills are also essential.
