Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Graduate Graphic Designer to join our team, based in Glasgow City Centre. You will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing efforts by creating visually appealing and impactful designs for various platforms and channels. The work will be fast-paced and varied, requiring excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and create engaging designs that align with our clients' branding and marketing goals.
- Develop graphics for digital and print media, including social media posts, websites, advertisements, brochures, flyers, presentations, and other promotional materials.
- Use Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator to manipulate and enhance images, create illustrations, graphics, text documents and design layouts.
- Assist in producing video content for social media platforms, combining motion graphics, animation, and other visual elements.
- Contribute to web design projects, creating visually appealing user interfaces (UI) and optimizing the user experience (UX).
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, industry standards, and best practices, and apply them creatively to maintain a fresh and modern design aesthetic.
- Collaborate with team members, including operational staff, marketers, and developers, to ensure design concepts are effectively implemented.
- Take ownership of projects from concept to completion, managing time and resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Adapt designs based on feedback, making necessary revisions while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is essential.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills and creative abilities.
- Experience with video editing software and producing video content for social media platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of web design principles and UI design, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and an ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Passion for design, creativity, and an eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
