We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduated Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Finance team here at Domestic & General. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will play a vital role in providing a financial overview of the team’s financial responsibilities, as well as co-ordinating and communicating departmental deadlines
The FP&A Analyst will support the FP&A Managers who have overarching responsibility for:
FP&A Process and Timetable- FP&A Models and Assumptions
- Cash Forecasting & Reporting

Key role responsibilities:
Aid & improve the design and implementation of FP&A models and assumptions to enable effective reporting- Provide analysis skills which may include any or all of the following: qualitative & quantitative analysis, formulating initiatives, defining requirements, process design/improvement, test support and BAU transition
- Work closely with Finance team and wider business stakeholders to understand and investigate financial performance
- Assist in development of new, and streamlining existing processes and controls, including the integration of group monthly and quarterly reporting into the FP&A reporting cycle.
- Consolidating department financials, ensuring consistent processes and approach, producing and co-ordinating timelines.
- Be a conduit between FP&A and other finance functions, co-ordinating deadlines and addressing queries.
Skills and experience required:
Technically competent on Excel and PowerPoint- Attention to detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills
- A critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Fantastic Team player
- Analysis and reporting using Microsoft Office (esp. Excel)
- Recently graduated with a numerate degree or has substantial experience at the same level
Desirable:
Modelling experience- Ability to work collaboratively across functions, recognising and utilising the expertise across the business to drive value
- High degree of initiative, reliable and ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex business environment
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to make sound day to day accounting decisions, solve accounting issues and problems and recommend solutions
- Desire to work in a finance team
- Working with reporting systems
- Part-qualified, working towards professional accounting qualification – ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
