The Role:
As an Events Management Intern, you'll join a supportive and collaborative Events Team. The team has two arms, and you'll be working directly with the Events Management team members on a wide range of projects & responsibilities. We're an all-hands-on-deck team, so you'll also get the chance to collaborate with the Event Marketing team and other interns to support with marketing tasks when needed.
The ideal candidate will be a student or recent graduate looking for a fully-paid summer internship from May– September 2023. This is a prime opportunity to get some fantastic exposure to a fast-paced events team!
Specifically, you will be:
- Supporting our Events Managers with end-to-end management of our wide portfolio of annual events (including the virtual Bright Network Internship Experience UK in June and our flagship, hybrid events during our busy September season)
- Assisting with projects that include overseeing the event application process, organising event logistics, helping curate our Student Leadership Boards and pre-event community engagement in our online community groups (Guild)
- Representing Bright Network at virtual and in-person events – interacting with both clients and students
- Managing the events inbox by responding to enquiries from students and firms with questions about upcoming events
- Organising and giving creative input on the creation of promotional materials and event programmes
- Assisting our Events Project Co-ordinator with post-event data analysis
- Conducting research for future events and having the opportunity to contribute to longer-term strategy in the wider company
- Working on a team that is always looking to share ideas, innovate and support progression

Does this sound like you?
- You are in your final year/have already graduated and are available to undertake a full-time, paid internship this summer from May to September (a delayed start date of early June may be possible for the right candidate)
- You can demonstrate a passion for event management through your extra-curricular involvement or prior relevant work experience (for example in a university or educational setting)
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and could be especially charismatic when interacting with high-profile clients and Bright Network members
- You pride yourself on being a diligent and reliable team player with strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail!
- You're keen to learn and willing to get stuck in by sharing ideas regularly, trying new projects and getting to grips with new software
- You have, or are looking to build data-handling skills
- Excited to work in a collaborative team, but also able to use your initiative and work independently within a fast-paced work environment

- You are willing to travel into central London for our in-person events (occasionally outside of normal working hours) and work in the office ~3 days a week, particularly when we're in peak events delivery season
- You're adaptable and flexible, particularly when challenges arise – such as managing client expectations and supporting the team with last-minute preparations

Key details:
- Salary: £25,000 pro rata
- Dates: 22nd May – 29th September 2023
- Location: London, Liverpool Street and remote
- Reporting to: Senior Events Manager
Application & interview process:
- Initial 20-minute screening call with our Internal Talent Partner
- 1st round: 45-minute interview with a member of our Events Team
- 2nd round: 60 minute presentation & panel interview
- Final round: Virtual coffee / chat with our CEO
