Duties will include;

  • Personal Care
  • Assisting clients with washing and dressing

We are looking for a Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with our customers in their homes, either in an informal capacity or a formal capacity as directed by the doctor.

Our office provides direct services to adults with developmental disabilities, including home care and community involvement. The Support Worker is responsible for working directly with individuals under the direction of the doctor and the client care co-ordinator and is responsible for completing all duties assigned by the doctor.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a positive and courteous presence in clients' homes, contributing to their overall well-being.
  • Be a dependable and reliable worker.
  • Maintain client files and records with confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Gather personal and medical information about clients, as well as communicate that information to the nurses and other caretakers.
  • Be knowledgeable about the concerns, needs, and lifestyles of clients and provide support.
  • Be able to do light housekeeping, basic repairs, and preparations for meals.
  • Be aware of clients' lifestyle choices (e.g. smoking, substance abuse), and help them in quitting if possible.
