Calling all soon-to-be Graduates! Are you looking for an opportunity to experience life at an award-winning design and engineering consultancy after graduating?
Here at Project Centre, we’re a leading design, engineering and landscape architecture consultancy that is passionate about designing places for the people that use them.
We offer a range of services focused on providing our clients with the very best planning, design and engineering solutions. Led by a forward-thinking management team, we work together in multi-disciplinary teams that provide well thought-out and sustainable designs and services.
People are our business, and we are committed to equality of opportunity for all employees and job applicants irrespective of any protected characteristic, and we provide fair and accessible learning opportunities for all. We even won CIHT’s Employer of the Year in 2021 for our commitment to equality, inclusion and internal communications, something we are very proud of.
We are keen to employ our next intake of enthusiastic graduates to our new two-year Graduate Programme. The programme consists of up to three placement rotations from across the business. In every placement, you'll receive all the training and support needed to succeed in your role.
Here at Project Centre, we specialise in several disciplines, so we understand that everyone's career aspirations are different. We aim to equip you with the skillset and experience you need to succeed in your chosen career path.
Subject to your degree and our business needs, your rotations will be between:
1. Highways Engineering, Major Projects, Structures, Flood and Water Management, and Lighting and Technology, or
2. Transport and Development Planning, Traffic Engineering, Landscape and Urban Design, Parking, and Communications and Engagement
We will consider applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, but are ideally looking for applicants to have a degree in:
- Civil engineering
- Geography
- Other relevant degrees
And if you’re not quite sure what you want to specialise in yet, that’s ok, the placements provide you with the experience and support to make that decision when you need to.
Working for us
Working for a design consultancy provides you with the opportunity to identify and work in areas that interest you whether that is creating strategies, problem solving and optioneering schemes, designing solutions or detailed engineering. There are many stages and specialisms; from active travel scheme identification, working on business cases for Levelling Up Fund schemes, transport assessments for developers, delivering bus strategies, traffic flow, speed data and accident analysis, engaging with communities, the production of design options, the modelling of networks and junctions, traffic signal design and configuration, detailed design and series plan production, the specification of materials, 3D computer design models and producing construction plans.
With offices in Ashford, Slough, Central London, Brighton, Manchester and Edinburgh, we are a growing and dynamic company that works across the UK. We currently employ over 250 professionals, and this is in an exciting period for Project Centre.
