Civil Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Larkhall, South Lanarkshire

Henderson Thomas Associates Ltd is seeking two Graduate Civil Engineers to join our team in South Lanarkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individual who are looking for a career in a growing company with growth potential.

40 hours per week, 8:30am - 5:30pm, with an hour unpaid lunchbreak. There will be an element of working outside office hours with overtime being paid.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar science-based field.
• Effective communication skills, able to manage changing priorities and work as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Must have knowledge of civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD LT, Civil 3D, and Civil Design Studio.
• Health and safety awareness, experience of implementation preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of compiling reports preferred.
• Flexible and positive attitude with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Must have a clean Driving Licence and own transport to travel to work. Transport from main base to client sites will be provided.
• The job is physical in nature and requires physically fit people as medicals are required to work for some clients.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out structural investigations such as load testing, instrumentation, visual inspections, non-destructive testing or site sampling in line with Health and Safety regulations and specific project requirements.
• When in the office, produce technical reports for clients from site data received in various formats and media.
• Well-presented and enthusiastic in a customer-facing role.
• Happy to carry out any other reasonable instruction given by the Directors.
