Graduate Design Engineer - Hitchin

27-34k plus potential bonus plan. 28 days holiday + Bank Holidays 5% pension laptop and private medical insurance.

This specialist industrial dry laundry company are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated applications engineer to join their team in Hitchin.

The role will predominantly be based from their smart office in Hertfordshire with the ability to work from home on occasion.

As a Graduate Design Engineer your role will involve the following responsibilities:

• 
  Elaborating Sales Proposals (including quotation, layout, running cost/ROI calculations and presentations as required) - Mainly Industrial laundry Equipment
• Giving support to the Sales Area Managers Team and other Departments (i.e., providing layouts, laundry design, product capabilities) - Both commercial and Industrial equipment
• Project Managing the Tendering Process/ Portals and ensuring the tender requirements/ submission of the proposals on time
• Discussing equipment needs and system requirements with customers
• Being the link between the HQ in Spain and the UK subsidiary during the ordering process of Industrial Equipment
• Identifying areas of improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to management
• Training other members of the team on the technical aspects of the company's products and solutions to offer.

The outstanding candidate my client is looking for will have a good working knowledge of the following:

• Technical Drawing - Use of CAD software (i.e., AutoCAD 2D)
• Project Management knowledge - basic PM concepts (ie Budget follow up of industrial projects)
• Running Cost Estimation & Payback/ROI - Calculations
• We would consider a graduate that has Autocad experience through university course or HNC/HND
