PwC
Full Time Belfast, Northern Ireland 22314 - 26703 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

In Deals we solve the important problems that stand in the way of value being created, sustained, realised or protected for our clients – working together to aid responsible recovery and growth. Working on iconic deals with national and global clients, we put together major mergers and acquisitions and resolve business crises – from international take-over bids to financial crime investigations and cases of insolvency. We draw upon our deals experience across many industries to support and partner with our clients, to positively impact society and the communities in which we operate.

Programme

Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

Technology

As our world continues to evolve, so do we. Having a responsive and bold technology strategy is key to remaining relevant with our clients. But we don’t just invest in the latest technologies, we help to create them with our unique ecosystem of technologists, working together to solve complex business problems in ways that benefit clients and society. It’s work with purpose and it drives us to innovate. We’re at the forefront of change, driving technology and skills and investing in our people and our purpose.

Our Forensic Technology team helps clients manage vast amounts of electronic data and navigate the legal and business processes that are mandated by critical events, such as investigations or regulation changes.

Prevention is even better; knowing where vulnerabilities are and managing the risks involved. When disputes or regulatory investigations arise, a timely resolution relies on organisations being prepared. And this is what we help our clients with every day.

You can join us in one of the following teams:

eDiscovery

Searching the personal computer and smartphone of an executive suspected of intellectual property theft, or identifying emails containing evidence of price fixing. These are the kinds of challenges we tackle every day as part of the team within one of the largest dedicated forensic technology practices in the world. In simple terms, we specialise in providing the technology skills required to respond to crisis events such as legal disputes or regulatory investigations.

Legal Technology

PwC works with some of the largest UK and international organisations. As these organisations are collecting and using more data than ever before, the use of technology plays an integral role in driving their business and serving their customers. We design, build and deliver Legal technology solutions using a number of cutting edge tools to improve our client’s business and solve commercial challenges.

What you'll do

eDiscovery
– You will work alongside industry-recognised specialists in computer forensics, electronic discovery, information governance and disclosure. Much of our work centres on the analysis of large volumes of electronic data. And because we operate in an environment where speed of response is often critical to our clients, you’ll be constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies.

Legal Technology
– You’ll be delivering on projects related to Contract Analysis and Review, Law Department Transformation, Contract Lifecycle Management and Contract Repapering and Remediation
– Connecting with clients to assess their current technology stack, understand their requirements and be involved in problem solving and the delivery of a Legal technology solution. You’ll help answer questions such as “Where are the gaps and what existing processes can be improved?”, “How can technology be utilised to deliver more value to our clients?” and “How can we best integrate different technologies into one solution?”
– As we look to harness artificial intelligence, robotics and machine learning to assist our clients, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in innovative projects where we utilise these technologies to solve real life issues

The nature of our work can involve us working in cross-border teams with UK and International clients and across other parts of our wider business – opportunities for international travel are subject to government advice/guidelines.

What you'll gain

When you join the Forensic Technology team there will be opportunities for you to complete a wide range of technical and non-technical training. You will receive training to suit your personal development needs which will support your role and potential career progression.

eDiscovery
Through project work and training, you’ll gain skills to allow you to apply cutting edge techniques to solve complex problems and apply smart data-driven solutions to our client’s issues. As part of your role you could be detecting fraud, insider trading or employee misconduct, or working alongside lawyers on litigations and regulatory matters.

Legal Technology
You’ll receive training and gain knowledge on innovative technologies and skills related to data manipulation techniques, machine learning, contract lifecycle management, programming, big data technologies, advanced data visualisation and certifications.

What you'll need

If you are naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems, we would be interested in talking to you. Candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at other PwC offices or client sites across the UK or overseas on a temporary basis (subject to government advice/guidelines).

You'll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject (however STEM related subjects are preferred) and demonstrate a passion for a career in technology and how organisations use it. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
