We are looking for an ambitious Data Analyst to join our team. We welcome STEM graduates and/or those with 2+ years of data analyst experience to apply for this role.

You will have experience in analysing large data sets and concise report writing. You will be a confident communicator with a passion for learning and a drive to develop your career. You must be an enthusiastic problem solver, with a high attention for detail, who will help the business to continue developing services that address our customer needs.

Your skills and experience

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse data to identify patterns and trends
  • Create clear and concise reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations for changes.
  • Use data analysis to identify opportunities for process automation and make recommendations for changes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement automated workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Test and troubleshoot automated processes to ensure they are working correctly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain automated processes to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the business.
  • Document processes and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experienced in successfully delivering projects to deadlines.
  • Confident in using own initiative to solve problems.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent team working, collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Have (or be predicted to achieve) at least a 2:1 degree in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) subject or 2+ years related work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for macros and advanced formulas e.g. XLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, IF, nested formulas
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and experience with statistical software such as SPSS, R, or SAS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Experience working with large datasets and managing data quality.

Preferences

  • Experience in the higher education sector is a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL programming language
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
