THE ROLE

If this sounds like something that appeals to you, then look no further than Stantec, where we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water & Renewable Energy team based in High Wycombe . The team works on two fronts: the first is providing dam safety assessments and rehabilitation design of existing dams, and the second is designing new water and hydropower dams, including pumped storage schemes. Since 1920, Stantec has been a leader in the dams and hydropower sector, and this growing market requires that we continue recruiting and training talented and engaged professionals.

ABOUT YOU

• You will ideally have a Master’s degree in Hydraulics or Water Resources Engineering, or
• You will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering with high interest in developing your career in the renewable energy sector.
• You will ideally have some professional or academic experience with CFD modelling of hydraulic structures using software like Flow-3D, ANSYS, OpenFoam etc.
• Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.

Land Aid

Every year we remove single-use plastics from our graduate and apprentice recruitment campaigns and instead using our budget in a more globally responsible way. This year we have decided to partner with LandAid.

In 2019/20, an estimated 120,000 young people asked for help from their local council because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness.

It’s a problem that LandAid are here to help tackle.

As the Property Industry Charity, LandAid unite over 200 organisations from across the sector, working together to bring an end to youth homelessness.

As a Charitable Trust, they distribute funding to frontline charities supporting the young and homeless – and primarily fund capital projects, such as renovating homes and building bedspaces.

We have seen the incredible impact that can happen when the industry unites and so Stantec are proud to be working alongside LandAid this year again to continue the great success achieved last year - Thank you Stantec for supporting LandAid in 2021-2022.
