Job description
The Graduate Engineer is responsible for ensuring all project information is available to the Production team and other Departments in the business as required.
They will liaise with their line manager and other colleagues in the technical department as well as other departments within the business, and provide support and information flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to all of the Engineers and Managers within the Engineering Team.
- Liaise with External Engineers, Specialist Consultants and Local Authorities for information.
- Check and process Engineering drawings and information.
- Issue drawings and information for tender & construction purposes, using the correct protocols as instructed by the Head of Engineering and in accordance with procedures.
- Manage & upload engineering information on A-Site / SharePoint / In house systems.
- Ensure enquiries and applications go to statutory service companies and local authorities.
- Provide technical and engineering support and information to in house departments.
- Prepare Engineering related drawings to include but not limited to: Conveyance Plans, EV Strategy, Sales Area Layouts, Service Corridor Layouts, Site Compound Layouts etc.
- Internal liaison with Planning, Commercial, Build and Sales teams.
- Attend meeting alongside technical lead, take minutes and create mark ups as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Ideally a degree in Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum HNC/ BTEC within a relevant Technical focused field.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD & Microsoft Office Bluebeam. Knowledge of SharePoint and Asite is a plus but not critical.
- Working knowledge of Design Codes, Building Regulations and current legislation relating to residential /commercial development.
- Computer literate, good numerical, verbal and written skills.
- Some experience in technical role for residential developer working on Low and high-rise mixed-use schemes or within a Civil Engineering Consultancy environment would be beneficial.
- Hold a full UK driving licence
