Job Purpose
- As a Princes business analyst, you will work in the Princes IT function helping to deliver, enhance and provide technical support for business systems that support the overall Princes business goals. In particular the area of responsibility lies within the Supply Chain function covering, predominantly, Logistics Execution.
- You will work on multiple changes and projects developing an excellent understanding of Princes business processes and future needs while creating technology driven solutions to help meet those needs with relation to information and software systems.
- You will be helping the organisation to develop and support its business systems, services, and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders.
- Your role is key to communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to convey how information technology can support the organisation's needs.
Principal Responsibilities
- Communicate with your internal stakeholders in your designated function to understand the requirments of their functions and the wider organisation.
- Collaborate with your internal IT colleagues and our 3rd party system integrators to investigate and develop IT solutions that support the needs of your business function.
- ‘Selling in’ the benefits of your recommendations to your business stakeholders and addressing any risks or concerns.
- Develop plans and gain agreement on how you will deliver your solutions including what you need, resources, costs, and time.
- Design and amend business processes, in conjunction with business users, to comply with the departmental standards.
- Producing documentation to support your work.
- Assisting in the delivery of IT projects under the direction of the designated Project manager
- Assisting with the designing and developing Digital Training Content for innovative solutions and projects
- Conducting system configuration and testing and issue resolution.
- Providing 2nd line support for business-as-usual change requests and incidents.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Graduating with a degree in an IT function preferably in Computer Science, Business & Computing or Software Engineering.
- You are a creative, critical thinker; an inquisitive sceptic who, when told that something ‘just is’, starts to take it apart and understand why. You are excited by new technology, change and making a difference.
- Strong analytical skills: can take complex data, analyse it, and convert it so it is meaningful and can be used to make critical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills: good communicator and can create clear and effective documents or other information; is able to clearly articulate solutions avoiding technical jargon.
- Team working; can work in a team environment and contribute to team objectives.
- Organisation: excellent organisation skills , paying attention to detail and ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Problem solving: able to analyse problems and determine the most appropriate course of action to resolve.
