Job description
The Moderation Specialist is responsible for supporting with moderation, by reviewing and approving user-generated content, investigating reports of violations, and working with other departments to improve the moderation process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video game culture and be able to identify and remove harmful or inappropriate content.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve user-generated content
- Investigate and act on reports of violations
- Work with other departments to improve the moderation process
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices
- Be part of implementing moderation policies and procedures
Required Skills:
- 1+ years of experience within moderation
- 1+ years of customer service or similar field
- Strong understanding of video game culture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Comfortable presenting
Desirable Skills:
- Passion for playing video games and staying up to date with the latest industry trends
- Enthusiastically embrace learning new technologies, and demonstrate a willingness to adapt and grow
- Show a genuine desire and ability to go the extra mile to understand contextual information, and provide an exceptional service
Must be able to:
- Cover occasional weekends on a rotating basis
- Commute to our Edinburgh office, located at The Shore in Leith
- Approach work with a passionate, inquisitive, and supportive attitude, contributing to a friendly team environment
