Modality Mid Sussex has a full-time vacancy for a GP Assistant. We are a dynamic partnership that consist of 4 different practices within our division. We have a dedicated, enthusiastic team of health care professional comprising of different skills, and specialities including Physiotherapists, Paramedics, a Pharmacist Technician, Social Prescribers, care coordinators and mental health wellbeing care coordinators.
The postholder will be a GP Assistants provide a support role, carrying out administrative tasks, combined in some areas with basic clinical duties. They help to support GPs and contribute to the smooth running of appointments, improving patients experience in the surgery.
This job is suitable for individuals who are career driven and have a passion for working in an agile manner, implementing solutions, delivering key organisational priorities and who are committed to make real changes to the health care services provided within Primary Care to improve patient care.
The job is not suitable to people who are not resilient to working in a fast-paced environment, working flexibly in line with ever changing demands in Primary Care and the wider NHS.

Main duties of the job
The role is an all-rounded, hands-on clinical role; the postholder main focus of the role is on supporting General Practitioners in their day-to-day management of patients, specifically aimed at reducing the administrative burden, making best use of consultation time and supporting access to appointments. The post holder will work very closely with the partners to deliver innovative ways of working to meet the practice needs.
The role is not a regular 9am-5pm job and is not a back-office advisory and support role; the job requires innovation, flexibility and commitment and the postholder will be required to work resourcefully as part of the team to ensure tasks are completed
You will be employed by Modality Partnership , Mid Sussex division. Your job is to work directly with the 6 practices within the PCN to improve patient satisfaction. This is a role that will equip you with a portfolio of clinical skills and development and operational skills to make sustainable changes within Primary Care.

Modality Mid Sussex 4 practices , 3 within the East Grinstead and Crawley Down area and One in Burgess Hill. We have a population of around 31000 patients.
