Landmarc is a joint venture of Mitie, the UK’s leading facilities management and professional services company and Amentum, a leading provider of global mission services to the U.S. Government.
We work in partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), part of the Ministry of Defence, to manage and operate the UK Defence Training Estate, which covers around 120 locations across all four nations: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Our primary responsibility is to enable our servicemen and women to train safely and deploy on operations. This is integral to the security of our nation; underpinned by the maintenance of safe and secure defence infrastructure.
We are now looking to recruit a Governance and Relationship Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. The role will be responsible for developing, implementing and championing continuous improvement whilst maintaining agreed operating standards across the contract, this will mean focussing across three key areas;
- Managing the relationship with the customer/DIO
- Manage the relationship with the Quality Assurance bodies
- Driving forward, continuous improvement
The successful person must be a professional member of the Chartered Quality Institute, with at least 5 year’s experience and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years, to satisfy security requirements. You will be required to travel frequently in this role, plus regular travel to sites in Wiltshire, this includes Warminster and Westdown Camp.
Main ResponsibilitiesCustomer relationship:
Represent the business as the Contract Quality Manager (CQM) to the customer and attend quality forums and joint activities.
Construct, monitor and manage the mechanisms and data for reporting Customer Satisfaction with all areas of service delivery and as defined by the contract requirements, Balanced Scorecard and KPIs. Ensure remedial actions, rectifications or improvements are captured and tracked to successful delivery in the Business Improvement Plan.
Lead on the production, agreement, monitoring and reporting for the Collaborative Management system and the Joint Relationship Management Plan with the DIO and business supply chain partners (as required).
Conduct relationship maturity assessments throughout the business and design and ensure delivery of any corrective actions or improvements required.
Develop, maintain and report against the business Relationship Mapping Matrix, encompassing a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring active and productive relationships are maintained at all levels.
Quality standards:
Ensure the business maintains the contract, shareholder and trade/industry required Quality Standards and accreditations.
Ensure the business achieves any future required or desired Quality Standards, accreditations or awards.
Manage and maintain the collaborative management system and act as the focal point for any collaborative initiatives.
Produce, manage and ensure delivery of the required audit and inspection programmes, including collaborative and joint audits with the customer.
Produce, maintain and ensure closure of actions arising/improvements (non-compliance log and actions).
Manage and ensure the production of the required Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery plans and track and report their testing, evaluation and amendment across all areas of the business.
Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of Quality, collaboration and supporting operating systems and the relevance to business objectives.
Support the development and management of corporate governance. Ensure compliance with the Internal Control document and maintain a contract risk register, reviewing Quality risks and escalating where appropriate.
Continuous Improvement:
Ensure all Business Processes remain current, in accordance with the contract and are used effectively. Own the process library and support process development and review.
Design, implement, monitor and record delivery of Business Improvement Initiatives (via the Business Improvement Manager) – the Business Improvement Plan.
Support any Change Management initiatives and ensure they are properly implemented within the contract.
The Ideal CandidateWhat you know:
Experience of managing performance checked multi service facilities and services contracts
Knowledge of the MoD Defence contract workings
Knowledge of Health & safety, Environmental Management systems
Knowledge of managing collaborative management systems
Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level or equivalent experience
Hold a Lead Assessors Certificate recognised by the Chartered Quality Institute
Chartered or Incorporated Member of the Charted Quality Institute
