Job description
The Redan Inn is a boutique inn based in the village of Chilcompton, just outside of Radstock. Recently renovated, we offer fantastic food at 2-AA* Rosette level, with a bustling bar, character filled accommodation and renowned service standards.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to lead our food and beverage and accomodation operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a restaurant with rooms or pub dining environment within a service led, preferably rosetted, site.
Overall Role
- Develop the current Front of House service operation to deliver improved levels of efficiency & profit, whilst maintaining current standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and refine FoH service processes to maximize efficiency and delivery of standards;
- Train and develop staff in a structured and passionate way;
- Structure, lead and manage service shifts to ensure optimum staffing costs to gross profit margins;
- Lead from the front – set an example to staff through a hands-on, calm and passionate approach to food and drink service;
- Assist the chef in delivering the menu to the highest standard – you and your team are the face of the food at the table!
- Managing and driving accommodation sales in order to maximise revenue and occupancy rates;
There is also the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table, with a fine wine selection to adapt and play with, and an artisan gin bar to accompany the food service operation. You will need to liaise and work alongside the Bar Manager and General Manager in order to push the business on – be creative and let’s develop ideas as a team!
