Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Google Analytics (GA) Specialist, who can deliver exceptional analytical capabilities. The role is London based working in our D2C office and sits within the Data Strategy & Analytics team. Your focus will be delivering best in-class marketing data analysis and insights, involving multiple workstreams covering strategy, research, implementation, BI and data science.
You will play a key role in the Data team, having a strong data mindset providing new methods, techniques, tools and systems. Supporting the Head of Data and Directors, you will also have a collaboration mindset, setting out objectives, utilising your previous experience and supporting team development, harnessing each person’s capabilities, and driving new initiatives forward.
About the role
- Defining measurement objectives, KPIs, and supporting metrics based on business and marketing strategy
- Building a deep understanding of marketing plans, goals and objectives to deliver comprehensive measurement, insights and test & learn optimisations
- Assessing the effectiveness of data sources, data capture techniques and improving data collection methods across channels
- Developing data strategy solutions, utilising technically advanced methods and integrating new GA features where appropriate
- Enhancing the existing analytics modelling, methodologies, and contributing to new ideas in modelling, dashboards, and data visualisation
- Playing an instrumental role in evolving and implementing new innovative measurement tools
- Identifying strategic opportunities through analysis and evaluation of our data and optimisations programmes
- Working with the stakeholders and developers to deploy robust data layers
- Utilising your GA and GTM technical expertise to drive new initiatives and developments
- Reviewing, evaluating and optimising technical implementation of tracking code and configuration across GA/GTM
- Creating processes and technical documentation to support best practices
- Liaising with stakeholders to communicate data requirements, governance, security, and data quality
- Developing data models and proof of concepts from research and external data sources
About you
- Strong analytical background with 5+ years’ expertise
- Advanced knowledge and experience of Google Analytics - 360 Suite & Data Studio
- Good knowledge of Google Tag Manager
- Excellent HTML & JavaScript knowledge and practical experience
- Significant use of web analytics platforms
- Knowledge of CRM systems and/or Mobile app reporting is a bonus
