Location: Bilborough, Nottinghamshire
Salary: negotiable, dependent on experience, over time paid at time and a half
Job type: Full time, Permanent (Minimum 40 hours per week)
Holidays: 28 days including statutory Bank Holidays, increasing over time to a maximum of 33

With over 40 years experience the company has a solid reputation in the design, fabrication and installation of bespoke architectural metalwork. It’s product range includes Staircases, Balustrades, Handrails, Balconies, Platforms, Walkways and Canopies.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Goods In /Out Operative
The successful candidate would be responsible for initial quality inspections and the day to day running of the goods in/out department, duties include
Unload/load vehicles using FLT/Telehandler/Crane in line with H&S procedures
Unpack and check goods received against purchase order paperwork
Initial check of quality of goods received prior to being issued for production
Collate, pack and label goods ready for dispatch in line with dispatch paperwork
Identify and report any quality non-conformances and discrepancies to delivery and dispatch paperwork
Accurately record and log information on computer systems
Communicate effectively with relevant department regarding deliveries and dispatches
To be the ideal candidate you will have an eye for detail, be methodical, thorough, organized and a significant level of fitness as this can be a demanding role. You will also have excellent communication skills and be IT Literate (Microsoft Office).
You must have a similar background working in quality control, stores, warehouse or compound within the engineering /steel industry.
The following would also be advantageous
A valid Fork Lift License.
A valid Telehandler License
Steel-work fabrication background/experience with ability to read engineering drawings
A full driving licence.
