Job description
The Health & Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Health and Safety Manager and Assistant to ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety compliance are maintained at the blocks managed by Islington Properties and London Block Management as well as for the Company’s office premises.
Job Description:
- Assist with monitoring health and safety within the organisation.
- Tender and schedule health and safety works; including statutory inspections.
- Update and manage the company’s health and safety database.
- Assist with the management of the company’s approved contractors, including reviewing contractor applications, scheduling contractor interviews and maintaining the approved contractor register.
- Assist with scheduling the training for office based and onsite staff.
- Support the Health and Safety Manager in conducting accident and incident investigations.
- Assist with scheduling responsive works.
- Coordinate health and safety inspections for the company’s offices.
- Assist with processing invoices for health and safety works.
- Conduct site visits where required.
- Address daily Health & Safety action items as delegated by Health & Safety Manager.
Essential attributes: Have a genuine interest in health and safety, showing a desire to continue professional development in the health and safety or property management sector.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
- Ability to use MS Office to an intermediate level, with experience of using database management systems and a proven ability to learn new applications.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse data.
- Ability to work to deadlines and meet targets.
- Possess good communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable format.
- Knowledge of managing contractors
Experience:
- No previous experience required; training will be provided
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a health and safety or property management role
- Knowledge of the property management sector
- Qualifications in health and safety
Training:
- Training will be provided on the job internally; with the opportunity to undertake industry recognised qualifications such as the NEBOSH General Certificate.

Salary: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
