Shift Pattern 4on 4off Days

Permanent role direct with Bakkavor Desserts Newark from day one, with excellent development opportunities to move into Skilled roles, Multi Skilled and Section Leader roles.

The site employs over 1,900 people and is one of eight factories that are part of the Bakkavor Bakery sector in the UK.

About the role

As we provide outstanding service to our customers, we are looking to recruit a number of Days Goods In/ Warehouse Operatives to come and join us and become a part of our successful team Goods In and Logistics Team.

As a Warehouse Operative you will:

Lift items such as bags & Boxes of food and packaging

Pick products using a manual pick list.

Record amount of material using site specific equipment to update inventory.

Communicate damaged products to inventory or lead/supervisor.

Ensure you always follow safety procedures.

Use manual and electrical material handling equipment to move products around.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to be on your feet all day as you will spend a lot of time walking around our warehouse as this role requires you to be quite physical.

Who we are looking for:

Accuracy is important so someone who likes to get things right first time.

Things are heavy so you will need to lift up-to 25kg.

You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English.

You will be a team player, resilient and will be able to adapt to a factory environment as it can be busy, pressured, cold and wet. Your safety is our priority and to ensure this we will provide you with training and the relevant personal protective equipment.
