Job description
Stoke by Nayland Resort is looking for a Golf Shop Sales Assistant to join the Pippin team.
As our Golf Shop Sales Assistant, you will work as part of a team providing exceptional service being the first point of call for all guests and members. This is a role that requires an individual with creative flair, excellent attention to detail and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
The role will include:
- Selling and processing transactions, using every opportunity to upsell
- Meeting and greeting guests and members
- Assisting with golf buggy bookings
- Advising customers on purchases of both gift and golf merchandise
- Driving sales, operational standards and processes
- General administration tasks, including answering email enquiries and assisting with stock control
- Ensuring the shop remains clean and tidy
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Demonstrate previous sales and retail experience (preferred)
- Have an interest in golf
- Have experience custom fitting (preferred)
- Be a team player
- Have a proactive approach to visual merchandising that is engaging to customers
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills both in person and on the telephone
- Be willing to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
