Reporting to: Honorary Secretary
Direct Reports: Finance Manager, Head Chef, Bar Manager, Head Greenkeeper, Events Co- ordinator
Hours: Part time – 24 hours over 3 or 5 days (Exact days to be agreed with the successful candidate)

Overall Purpose of Role
To manage the efficient day-to-day operation of Kirkistown Castle Golf Club and to deliver a high quality and cost-effective customer experience for Members and Visitors; to promote the Club internally and externally in a professional and friendly manner ensuring that the reputation of the
Club is maintained at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Club Council, contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the Club’s strategy in the medium to long term;
- Manage a multi-disciplined team across the Club facilities, developing an open, customer orientated and positive work environment. Engage in regular and effective communication with staff. Includes recruitment and training as required;
- Lead the development and implementation of a marketing plan to increase the membership base and increase revenue from the Bar / Restaurant and from Green Fees; take responsibility for the Club’s website and other communication channels to provide an up to date, engaging and motivational source of information for Members and Visitors;
- Contribute to the financial growth of the Club through regular monitoring of budgets including staffing costs and supplier contracts, engaging in value for money procurement practices and oversee the preparation of monthly reports on all functional areas of the Club;
- Ensure appropriate standards of health & safety are adhered to in all aspects of the Club, including compliance with all relevant legal obligations;
- Establish (with the Club Council) and maintain standards of presentation and quality in relation to the clubhouse and environs.
- To action all directions from Club Council in a timely and effective manner and provide appropriate support, including monthly reporting, to ensure key milestones in the business plan are achieved.

- Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards;
- Self-motivated with a keen interest in looking for opportunities to grow a business.
- Commercially aware and IT literate.
Terms of Appointment
Salary: £19,000 per annum for 24 hours (equiv to £31,700 per annum)
Probationary Period: The post will be subject to a six-month probationary period. After successful completion the post will be confirmed.

Salary: From £15.00 per hour
