Global Key Account Manager


Croda is a purpose led, FTSE100 organisation and a global supplier of high purity excipients, vaccine adjuvants and lipids for the Pharmaceutical market. As we continue to drive growth in our pharmaceuticals business, we are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to mange our relationship with GSK globally.

Reporting into the Global Sales Director, this is an opportunity to take responsibility driving growth through increased R&D partnering and delivering support on long term strategic initiatives aimed at business development and increasing market share within GSK’s pharmaceutical business.

Who we’re looking for:


  • Degree qualified with a strong background in account management within speciality chemicals and/or ingredient sales supplying the pharmaceutical sector
  • Highly strategic and business mindset to drive business development of the account through a high level of business partnering at senior levels within the account.
  • Experience in business development and key account management with a background in developing global accounts and steering with cross functional teams.
  • High level of authenticity and able to share and champion Croda’s culture and values with our customers and across the external market
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally across cultures and functions
  • Good understanding of R&D practices and innovation processes to build strong relationships with research and product management teams.


Role and Responsibilities


  • Drive revenue and profit growth with one of our strategic global accounts
  • Define, develop and implement strategic plans over a 3-year time scale including sales growth, pipeline development, relationship management and strategic collaborations.
  • Ensure strong alignment with Croda’s Research & Technology teams on application development and breakthrough innovations aligned with customer’s needs.
  • Be responsible for identifying risks and anticipating trends to influence future business developments within the sector.
  • Liaise and coordinate with a diverse global team to monitor pricing and business quality to meet targets in line with the strategic plan.
  • Work with regional commercial teams on pricing initiatives
  • Travel internationally to maximise customer contact in all key locations around the world
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders within Croda and with existing industry contacts to ensure successful development of account portfolio.
