General Manager
£28,000 - £32,000
Are you a successful Restaurant Manager, who’s highly driven and an engaging leader? Able to challenge the norm and drive operational efficiencies and results through your people? Do you have a passion for the highest standards and find a way to win in everything you do, tackling challenges head on? Can you listen as well as you speak, juggle the detail with a strategic view and balance strong commercials with operational excellence?
As the general manager, you will create incentives for employees and evaluate City Picnics efficiency and productivity. Additionally, you will collaborate with company Directors to develop and implement strategic plans for business growth based on short-term and long-term goals, communicate those goals to your team, and guide them to success.
You’ll have managed teams operationally already – ideally in casual dining, hospitality, in a fast-paced environment. Ideally you will live in your chosen area, and have a good knowledge of the local market.
Restaurant Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations
- Provide leadership at all levels of the organisation
- Communicate and embody the company vision and values
- Build up the company by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and mentoring new talent
- Define and implement policies and performance standards
- Evaluate employee performance and provide additional coaching and support as needed
- Assess departmental and company performance and devise plans for improvement
- Manage budgets and targets as set out by the Directors on sales and staffing requirements
- Allocate budget resources for supplies, equipment, marketing, and personnel
