Overall purpose of the role
The firm are looking for an experienced Legal Project Manager, with a legal background and strong technical skills. The successful candidate would be involved with multiple areas of the business and projects and be responsible for the project management of the litigations that the company are undertaking (including assisting with costs controls). The role would involve working directly with the Chief Operating Officer and the Legal Costs Director to ensure that the firm has a cohesive approach to case planning, project planning, and project management.

Requirements
Key Accountabilities
- E2E Management and prioritisation of ongoing and proposed litigations
- Leading and implementing strategic initiatives to drive improvements in analysis of case and cost management, leading to greater quality and efficiency across litigations
- Developing budgets and schedules for projects, as well as monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and align objectives with overall business strategy
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that projects are completed on time, to a high standard and within budget requirements
- Support the creation of project plans, provide MI ensuring sufficient frequency, granularity, accuracy, and insight to facilitate appropriate decision-making
- Ensures that effective PM processes are in place within the team, and that functions are integrated effectively, to ensure a consistent and excellent levels of service are delivered.
- Attend and document outcomes for regular meetings to ensure all plans are on target, necessary actions are captured, and key milestones are met
- Holding stakeholders across the organisation to account for actions and deadlines that they are responsible for
- Understanding the organisations various requirements and manage resources to ensure that all projects are appropriately staffed to ensure quality of work and deadlines are not jeopardised
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Previous Legal PM experience
- Qualified in formal legal project change management. or other similar PM qualification with demonstrable experience in an LPM role.
- Experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and running company wide performance analysis
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills including effective meeting management
- Understanding of legal technology processes
- Ability to conduct data analysis and utilise insights to drive decision-making
- Experience with senior stakeholder and relationship management.
- Strong time management capability
- Results orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines, and the ability to motivate others to deliver
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or other data visualisation software
- Ability to use Litify or other case management system is preferred
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or Finance with high academic achievement
- 4-8 years’ experience in a legal project management
- Excellent work ethic and organisational skills with an aptitude for problem solving
- Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional, mature manner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly and at short notice
- Enthusiastic team player, productive working independently or as part of a group
- Experience in Law Firms
