Forest Holidays’ cabins are set in beautiful woodland and loch-side locations throughout Great Britain.

You will report to the Design co-ordinator and will work as part of a small design team preparing and reviewing drawings for the different stages of a project. You will be working on site masterplans, building plans, and on reports that support the designs, including our BREEAM submissions. You must have great attention to detail, good problem-solving skills and be able to capture and elaborate client requirements. You will bring to the team a working knowledge of building regulations and standards as well as the capability to design aesthetic spaces (site landscaping). Energetic and resilient, with a flexibility to respond quickly to changing needs, you will have a passion for completing the task and pride in a job well done. Job Description

This role would be ideally suited to a graduate (architecture, architectural technology, or construction background) who has experience working as an architectural technician or similar, who would like to progress their career and be exposed to a variety of streams of work and be involved in projects from concept to completion.

This role will support with the production of drawings, from when a site is identified, through the whole masterplan development process, through the construction phase until the site is operational. This will involve capturing requirements from the various stakeholders, working with consultants, review external drawings and creating drawings with various levels of detail and for different audiences. The role will be responsible for the design of smaller projects on existing locations, collecting lessons learned as well as helping maintain an up to date portfolio of drawings. The appointed person will need to be willing and able to independently travel for site visits (approx. 2-3 times monthly).

Skills

Experience

  • 2+ years Commercial experience using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Produce technical drawings
  • Risk analysis
  • Design/construction related background

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Full UK valid Driving License
