Our Global Business Coordination department is responsible for anticipating, identifying, and responding to changes within a constantly evolving retail industry. This is a chance for you to have a global impact by delivering impactful research to inform global decision making and drive a consumer-centric culture.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Consumer Research Analyst to join our expanding team. You will play an important part in the continued development of Aldi South’s global vision for Customer Experience.

You will help to ensure we put our customers at the heart of decisions to improve our market share and create new business opportunities.

You will be confident collating and distilling multiple data sources, to tell a clear and compelling story to inspire business change. You will be a key part of improving customer experience at ALDI on a global scale, transforming the business and preparing for the future.

The Research Analyst will be UK based, but part of a global team, therefore some travel on demand should be expected, as per the needs of the project, or upon request of the Consumer & Market Research Manager.

Your New Role:


  • You will be responsible for identifying consumer trends, and unmet needs for multiple markets
  • Lead and deliver in-house qualitative and quantitative research studies
  • Brief and project manage research conducted through third parties
  • Design and socialise impactful deliverables to communicate key findings
  • Present research recommendations to Senior Leadership
  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with National Research Teams
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add additional value through Consumer Research

About You:

  • As a Research Analyst you will have experience in planning, designing & executing quantitative research studies
  • The successful candidate will have experience in creating compelling insights to influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, anticipate stakeholder needs & manage expectations
  • High attention to detail & data accuracy
  • Ability to ask the right questions and identify the most effective research methods to solve business problems
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise conflicting requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
  • Experience in planning, designing and executing qualitative research studies would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience in securing budget and buy-in for research
  • Experience in a new / emerging in-house research team
  • Ability to successfully mentor / upskill junior team members on research best practice
  • Awareness and understanding of secondary research resources
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What you will get in Return:


  • Salary starting from £50,945 rising to £58,680
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
  • The opportunity to travel to ALDI South countries as required
