Operating from our state-of-the-art 45,000 sq ft manufacturing facility near Burnley in Lancashire, we’re committed to bringing the latest innovations in high performance and energy efficient glass technologies to the trade. Position:
Due to increasing customer demand we are looking for new team members to join our production teams at Padiham Glass either on Days / Lates.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating glass processing equipment across the operation
- Handling sheets of glass and cutting it to size with the use of machinery
- Using a variety of glass cutting, toughening and moulding tools
- Manual handling and loading of glass onto stillages
- Ensuring the safe operation of all glass equipment
- Complete all relevant paperwork as required involved in day to day glass production
Requirements:
You will have:
- Experience of using and working with a variety of glass is ideal, however not essential as full training will be provided
- The ability to lift and handle (sometimes heavy) materials
- A good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- An ability to work well under pressure
- Be able to work to tight deadlines both individually and as a team
- Punctuality and be reliable
Other information:
Hours: 40-42.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday - Friday, days, lates & nights available
Pay Rate: £10.83 - £11.50 per hour
