The Hospitality Group behind the award-winning Porter & Rye, Lebowskis & Rogue St Andrews brings an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to take the reins and further develop their flagship venue, The Finnieston.
At The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant, we take pride in serving the very best in Scottish seafood and award-winning cocktails, champagnes, and beers. About the Role:
As the General Manager, you will have a real hands-on approach to the continuing operation of our established and well-regarded venue.
Your role will involve leading your team to deliver exceptional service and products, managing the day-to-day operations, and ensuring profitability. Your creative thinking will be crucial in driving sales and footfall.
You will also play a key role in creating and implementing food and drinks lists, maintaining venue standards related to food hygiene and legal compliance, coordinating recurring food and wine events, conducting team appraisals, and collaborating with the group's marketing team to execute marketing plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of outstanding service and products.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the venue, including P&L management, reporting, and review.
- Drive sales and footfall through creative thinking and innovative strategies.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of all food and drinks lists, ensuring high-quality offerings.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, legal, and operational standards.
- Coordinate recurring food and wine events, creating memorable experiences for our guests.
- Conduct periodic team appraisals, identify development opportunities, and foster skill development.
- Collaborate with the group's marketing team to execute effective marketing plans.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent customer relation skills and ability to be the face of the business.
- A keen eye for the finer details during the customer experience.
- Strong knowledge of food and drink, particularly seafood and classic bartending.
- A fun and approachable style of management.
- A proven track record of commercial success in the hospitality industry.
- Experience managing and developing teams.

Part-time hours: 48 per week
Salary: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
