Job description
Opportunity: Old Mill Marina, located on 1100 feet of stunning frontage on Kawagama Lake (Dorset) in the beautiful Algonquin Highlands, is seeking an entrepreneurial, highly motivated and collaborative individual to manage the day-to-day operations of the marina.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the profitable management of the marina, focusing on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
2. Fostering a supportive, safe, inclusive and dynamic working environment for employees.
3. Developing, implementing and ensuring execution of clear job responsibilities for full-time, part-time and seasonal employees.
4. Modelling exemplary customer service practices fostering a strong community presence for the marina.
5. Resolving customer concerns, disputes and issues in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
6. Organizing and overseeing employee and marina operation schedules including spring launch and fall intake of boats.
7. Overseeing the smooth continued operation of all marina facilities year-round.
8. Implementing and ensuring Health and Safety policies and procedures are being followed.
9. Ensuring environmental and regulatory best practices are implemented and maintained.
Qualifications:
1. Proven leadership record in recreational business or related field
2. Successful management of a small to midsize business
3. Sound financial management skills
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Valid G class driver’s licence
6. Forklift operator license
