The Emergency Department at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells is consistently one of the best performing in the country and we are looking for a high calibre leader to join the team as General Manger. The successful candidate must be a motivated professional with a track record of consistently delivering high quality patient focused care. Both sites Emergency Departments are co-located with Urgent Treatment Centres and developing these is an important part of our clinical strategy. This role will work closely with the Clinical Director and Lead Matron for Emergency Medicine to deliver the departments’ operational, strategic & quality agenda and includes the management of the ED administrative operational team.

Strong problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate well, build relationships and influence stakeholders both internal and external to the trust are essential to a successful application. Experience of budgetary management, staff management and the ability to meet the peaks and troughs of service demand are a must.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
