Duties will include:
- Buffing school hall, corridors and classrooms (School only - training will be given if no experience)
- Spot cleaning of spillages
- Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass
- Emptying and cleaning bins (inside and outside)
- Cleaning toilets and surrounds
- Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces
- Wiping, polishing and straightening furniture
- Scrubbing down furniture
- Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets etc
- Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of nursery/school-related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information
- Undertaking any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required
- All defects/hazards must be immediately reported to the supervisor or nursery manager
- Covering for the supervisor if absent or on holiday- to key holder and lock up the building
About the Candidate
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work in a small busy team.
Duties will include working in all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms and toilets, all requiring a high standard of cleaning.
About Us
Lancasterian School is a special school for pupils with a range of learning disability and other associated needs e.g physical disability, complex medical needs, sensory impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder, complex speech and language difficulties requiring augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
There are currently 180 pupils that attend from Early Years Foundation Stage to 16 years.
