BT as a whole have moved to a hybrid working model of 2 days per week from home and 3 from the office. This role specifically allows for flexibility depending on the needs of the customer/contract you’re working on.
As a lead consultant specialist in our Defence Unified Communications practice, you'll be a trusted industry partner to our defence customers and cross-functionally supporting internal business units (Sales, Business, Technology, Security and Operations), key stakeholders and third party technology providers.
- Provide enterprise networking design expertise, ownership and technology decision making to business stakeholders and key partners
- Provide subject matter expertise to the Defence Assurance Board before integrating domain/service changes
- Establish CAPEX/OPEX costs, dependencies, risk, impact and mitigation for complex new business opportunities and in-contract requests
- Provide subject matter design overview to operational support teams
- Keeping updated with the industry sector, wider digital economy and emerging trends, and how this can impact the customer & BT
- Expertise in unified communication technologies, solutions, and products (such as: Cisco, Ribbon, Unify, Avaya, Microsoft)
- Experience specifically with Cisco Unified Communication Manager
- You are familiar with video conferencing unified communication technology architecture
- You can design, configure, test and commission unified communication technologies
- Experience of identifying risk, impact, mitigation, and problem-solving in large scale network deployments
- Able to communicate complex technologies to key stakeholders with varying technical understanding
