Job Introduction
To collaboratively work alongside the Cheshire West & Chester Service Manager and CW&C senior team, developing and maintaining operational delivery that will effectively deliver the Operational Requirements for the project, including severe weather, incident response, reactive maintenance, planned maintenance and Scheme delivery.
To act as a safety ambassador, ensuring the highest safety standards are upheld, as well as ensuring excellent quality of works and Customer Service.
The General Manager will be a key member of the Local Roads AM&S senior team, helping to share and utilise best practice across our maintenance contracts.
Main Responsibility
You will need to ensure availability of contract-dedicated and corporate resources throughout transition and full contract term to meet/exceed Contract requirements. You will provide leadership and establish effective Senior Management Team, empowered to support achievement of Contract ambitions and delivery of all commitments set out in our tender proposal. You will facilitate and demonstrate collaboration with CW&C Client, Supply chain partners and local stakeholders whilst promoting best practice, innovation and process review through the establishment of performance metrics, Lean leadership and bringing in external expertise as required. You will attend Operational Board and collaborate with key stakeholders to support customer satisfaction and reputation management
The Ideal Candidate
You will have experience in working within the Highways sector and have experience of working with local roads clients and contracts. You will have project management experience as well as experience of working within financial/commercial. Health & safety knowledge is necessary whilst being customer focused.
