Job description
We are looking for an experienced General Maintenance Assistant to carry out general building maintenance duties in a range of settings, plus general maintenance duties whilst being conversant with Health & Safety issues!
The Estates & Capital Development Department provides a comprehensive maintenance, repair and installation service of the buildings, grounds, engineering services and associated equipment throughout the Trust.
Main Duties of the job include:
- Undertaking unsupervised routine maintenance and minor repair work including planned preventable maintenance work and labouring.
- Carrying out repair and decoration of minor damage to building fabric.
- Carrying out repair, replacement and cleaning of ceiling tile and support systems.
- Carrying out repair and installation to the buildings fixtures and fittings including but not limited to, Shelving, edge and wall protection, cupboards, flooring, doors, windows etc and cleaning plant rooms, workshops, switch rooms, distribution cupboards, stores etc
