Role: General Legal Assistant
Location: Chippenham Office

Role Requirements
The department that we are recruiting into deals with the Deeds of Easement being granted over property to electricity companies in respect of overhead and underground cabling.
We are looking for someone to support the fee earner who runs the department to progress the transactions by dealing, for example, with lender and client enquiries and processing completion paperwork.
The successful applicant will ideally have some experience of residential conveyancing but who is willing to apply those skills to another, but similar, area.
You will need to be hardworking with a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team. You will be able to thrive in a pressurised environment; reacting to changing deadlines and priorities in a professional manner.
Summary
This is a full-time position.
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
Holidays: 33 days including Bank Holidays, but we do close over Christmas and so 3-4 days’ leave needs to be reserved for that. We also offer additional holiday for long service (5+ years), which will be detailed in the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening files on the case management system and compiling letters and paperwork for clients and other parties.

Reviewing and processing paperwork returned by clients and chasing outstanding information.
- Liaising with other parties in the transaction, including Solicitors and Surveyors

Generally assisting with the administration of files as required.
- As we are a small office, helping with the day-to-day requirements of the office.
