Job description

Toft Farm is a modern turkey growing unit, which is part of a larger mixed farming enterprise located in Staffordshire (ST18) and we are now looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Turkey Farm Manager to work alongside the Turkey Farm Manager.

Duties will include:

• Daily welfare checks
• Bedding
• Work to high standards alone or with the team.
• Updating daily records
• Overseeing catching
• Cover when Farm Manager is off
• Working alternate weekends
• Reporting any issues to Farm Manager
• Repairs as and when required to maintain equipment in working order
• Ensuring biosecurity is always adhered to
• Attend alarm calls when required
• Any other duties required by the Farm Manager or Director.

Applicants should have/be:

• A positive attitude with a keen eye for detail.
• Poultry trained is an advantage but not essential as all training that is required will be provided to the right person.
• The ability to adapt and prioritise
• IT Skills.
• Hold a Full UK drivers’ licence.
• Live locally or be willing to relocate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
