Job description
Toft Farm is a modern turkey growing unit, which is part of a larger mixed farming enterprise located in Staffordshire (ST18) and we are now looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Turkey Farm Manager to work alongside the Turkey Farm Manager.
Duties will include:
- Daily welfare checks
- Bedding
- Work to high standards alone or with the team.
- Updating daily records
- Overseeing catching
- Cover when Farm Manager is off
- Working alternate weekends
- Reporting any issues to Farm Manager
- Repairs as and when required to maintain equipment in working order
- Ensuring biosecurity is always adhered to
- Attend alarm calls when required
- Any other duties required by the Farm Manager or Director.
Applicants should have/be:
- A positive attitude with a keen eye for detail.
- Poultry trained is an advantage but not essential as all training that is required will be provided to the right person.
- The ability to adapt and prioritise
- IT Skills.
- Hold a Full UK drivers’ licence.
- Live locally or be willing to relocate.
